GENDER BASED VIOLENCE IN SOUTH AFRICA

OUR APPROACH

HOMES OF HOPE PROGRAM
We provide safe, nurturing environments where survivors can begin their
healing journey. Our dedicated team offers counselling, guidance, life skills
and skills development, walking alongside each individual as they rebuild
their strength and rediscover their self-worth.

THE CRISIS IN NUMBERS

Gender-based violence in South Africa is at crisis levels:

• Over one-third of women have experienced physical and/or sexual violence
in their lifetime.

• Femicide rates are five times the global average. Every day, lives are being saved, families are being protected, and hope is being restored. No woman
or child should ever have to face violence alone.

CREATING HOPE ART THERAPY PROGRAM
Through inclusive training workshops and creative development, we empower beneficiaries to foster personal growth and resilience. This program is designed to help survivors regain confidence and envision a future beyond violence.

EMPOWERMENT & SUSTAINABLE INDEPENDANCE

We support women in securing employment and transitioning into safe, independent living. Assistance includes providing essential household goods and furniture, enabling survivors to establish new homes for themselves and their children. Our goal is to help each individual become a sustainable member of society and a beacon of hope for others.

Gender-based violence remains one of South Africa’s most urgent and devastating challenges, affecting countless women and children. Behind every statistic is a person fighting to survive, often with limited support and resources. Our organization is committed to bridging this gap by offering compassionate care and practical assistance to those affected by GBV.
